Jazz chanteuse Simone Waddell has collaborated with Australia’s leading jazz musicians to pay homage to five iconic Australian hits; Beds Are Burning (Midnight Oil), Burn For You (John Farnham), Fall At Your Feet (Crowded House), The Horses (Daryl Braithwaite) and Mystify (INXS) and recontextualise them into the jazz genre. The album also features Simone’s original music.

The album’s producer, the legendary Jim Kelly, is considered one of the best jazz producers in Australia today. His understated, sophisticated musical arrangements on the Art of Collaboration are a testament to his jazz mastery.

Grammy award-winning producer and engineer, Erik Zobler, brings his world class mixing skills to the album. Erik’s credits include Miles Davis, Natalie Cole, Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, Sara Vaughn and Dianne Reeves.

Simone Waddell is a world class singer, songwriter, Founder of You Have A Voice and Ambassador for Messenger Rescue.

As one of Australia's leading contemporary Jazz Artists, Simone is known for her mix of contemporary jazz and soulful melodies with groove. She has made a profound impact around the world throughout her career, inspiring countless individuals through the art of song and storytelling.

Simone has released four albums, three EP's, multiple singles, and has been collaborating since 2013 with the great Australian producer and jazz guitarist Jim Kelly, who is also at the helm of her newest and most exciting musical vision.

The Art of Collaboration coming in April 2022 is her fifth studio album, and features Tommy Emmanuel, James Morrison, Rai Thistlethwayte and a line-up of Australia's best jazz musicians. This album delivers a unique collection of Simone's original music and iconic Australian songs that have been reimagined in a contemporary jazz style.

Simone has also worked with the likes of Grammy nominated artist Taylor Dayne, Vince Jones, Kerrie Biddell and Cornell Thigpen.
